A 23-year-old Nigerian graduate, Alexander Nwogu, was shot dead in upper NW DC on Monday, October 5 by unknown gunmen.
Nwogu finished from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University also known as Virginia Tech five months ago.
According to Bruce Lesha, an American reporter who made the news known on Twitter, the Nigerian just got a job at Ernst and Young.
The man was murdered around 1:30 am at a Shell gas station of Connecticut Avenue.
Will Ventura, his friend, said that that the late Nigerian was a very “hardworking and caring” person, WUSA9 reports.
The DC Police have, however, said though full details of this death are at the moment sketchy, Nwogu was transacting at the station when he was gunned down
The police have, therefore, given out details of the likely suspect as they asked people with details of his murder to come forward as there is a $25,000 (9,575,000) reward.
His friend has set up a GoFundMe account for his funeral expenses with a $15,000 (N5,745,000) mark.
As at the time of writing this report, the sum of $10,246 (N3,924,218) has been donated.
