The Iyalaje Ile Oodua, Princess Toyin Kolade, has congratulated Muslims across the world, especially descendants of Oduduwa over the ongoing Eid-ul-Adha celebration also known as Ileya.
Princess Kolade in a statement she personally signed and made available to REPORTERS AT LARGE, said the celebration by the Muslim faithful across the country marked a fulfilment of the holy injunction of gathering together to celebrate the spirit of sharing, joy and jubilation.
According to her, “As you all fulfil the tenets of Eid Mubarak through sacrifice, I admonish you to immensely uphold in gratitude the values of showing love to one another, representing the spirit of peace and selfless compassion towards your neighbours.
“May the blessings of complete obedience to Allah enfold you, your household and our nation, Nigeria.”
Going further, Princess Toyin Kolade who also is the CEO, Frisolak Nigeria Limited, urged Muslims to continue to be tolerant of their neighbours who are faithful to other religions.
“We descendants of Oduduwa are known for peace and I want our people to sustain this. Records of security itches in some part Nigeria at large is often aggravated by broken relationship and unresolved issues which should be looked into.
“Let us be our brothers’ keepers like our founding fathers were, we are socially related no matter where we come from and I want us all to share the love even beyond we share our ram meat to our neighbours.
“On this note, I wish to congratulate all Muslims once again and I wish you all a happy celebration.
