It was Zinedine Zidane who said that: “It doesn’t matter how many times you win an award, it is always very special.” This quote captured the joyous feeling of Mr Olusegun Babalola, the publisher of Celebration International Magazine, UK, as he received the second media award in January 2022. The Award was presented by Toplotech Entertainment, UK, during the unveiling/launching of the Toplotech Radio App.
Speaking at the event the Chief Executive Officer of Toplotech Entertainment, UK, Mr Temitope Issa Ibrahim, popularly called Prime Minister in the entertainment industry, said that Mr Babalola’s Celebration International Magazine is a globally circulated entertainment promotion platform. He added that within a year, Celebration International Magazine has become a household name among the Black community in the UK.
Mr Ibrahim while commending the publisher, said that the award committee reached a consensus to confer on the publisher the award of the Prominent Digital Magazine Publisher 2021/2022, because of the quality of its content and its rapid penetration into the core of the Black entertainment market in the UK.
In his acceptance speech Mr Babs, as he is popularly called in the industry, dedicated the award to God. He used the occasion to announce that very soon Celebration International Magazine would be available in the print edition.
According to him, the reality of the digital age, which has made the bulk of news and entertainment contents to be consumed via smartphone and other Android-enabled devices was the reason the Magazine was first introduced in digital format.
Mr Babs stressed that by popular demand and to satisfy readers and advertisers both digital and print editions would be made available later in the year.
The event which was held at BPW Connection Centre Rye, Lane Peckham, London on January 28th, 2022, had in attendance who-is-who in the Black community in the UK and other entertainment workers and promoters.
