Umeh Kamsiyochukwu, a brilliant Nigerian girl, has emerged as the overall best student of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination after scoring 360/400 points.
She was awarded a N2.5 million cash prize and a full-ride scholarship to study any course of her choice at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Nigeria.
Umeh Kamsiyochukwu, a student at Deeper Life High School in Ogun, Nigeria, scored the highest point in the United Matriculation Board Examination. Her outstanding achievement earned her a scholarship.
The Anambra state governor, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, announced it in a statement issued by his press secretary. He congratulated Kamsiyochukwu on making their state proud with her exceptional performance.
“The governor has announced a well-deserved scholarship for her to study any course of her choice at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University,” the statement said.
“The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work but also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future,” he added.
Umeh was also awarded a N2.5 million cash prize from the Chief Executive Officer of Erisco Foods Limited, Dr Umeofia Eric. He expressed his admiration for Kamsiyochukwu’s academic excellence and emphasized the importance of encouraging and rewarding exceptional students.
