The West African Examination Council (WAEC) released the results for 2023, and a Nigerian child received an A1 in all nine courses he took.
Isa Salmanu, a bright young man, registered for nine topics in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), and he aced them all.
Caleb Charles Sogbey, a student at Premiere Academy in Lugbe, Abuja, shared Isa’s tale on Facebook.
“Behold our valedictorian, Isa Salmanu,” Charles wrote while telling the story. Premiere Academy’s best-graduating student in the class of 2023 Congratulations to Salmanu and the Premiere Academy.”
According to Salmanu’s Facebook result slip, he registered for Economics, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Physics, Computer Studies, and Radio and Television Electronics Works were also A1 subjects for him.
Salmanu also received a 347 on the JAMB-UTME. Many Facebook users were taken aback by the outcome.
REPORTERS AT LARGE earlier reported that the WAEC released the 2023 WASSCE results on Monday, August 7.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, the Head of Nigeria Office, Mr. Patrick Areghan, said, “Gentlemen of the media, with joy in my heart and gratitude to God Almighty, I, on behalf of the Registrar to Council, the Management, and Staff of the West African Examinations Council, Nigeria, welcome you to this press briefing to announce the release of the results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates, 2023 in Nigeria.”
